Three loads a day, 1.5 tonnes — the rules at the gate
The City built this facility for residents with cars, trailers and LDVs with a carrying capacity not exceeding 1.5 tonnes. Garage waste, builder’s rubble and clean garden waste are capped at three loads per day; recycling loads are unlimited. Access depends on available resources — on busy weekends the queue itself is the real constraint.
Those three categories cover most clean-ups, and the caps are per day, not per month. The hours are where people get caught, because the weekday times move with the season.

When three loads stop being worth the fuel
A bathroom strip-out produces two to three cubic metres of rubble — four to six trailer loads once you allow for loose packing. At three permitted loads a day that is two days of driving, loading and queueing.
